Motorola has confirmed that the company will be holding a “Motorola Flagship Launch E-vent” on April 22nd next week. During this event, we are likely to see the official unveiling of the highly-anticipated Motorola Edge+ 5G, which have been around the rumor mills for quite some time.
In fact, the Motorola Edge+ 5G was initially scheduled to be announced during the Mobile World Congress 2020. However, it’s official launch had been pushed back after the abrupt cancellation of the event due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Courtesy of reputable leaker Evan Blass, we’d already seen the official renders of the Motorola Edge+ 5G ahead of its unveiling. As its name suggests, the device will tout a dual-curved display with high screen-to-body ratio. Moreover, there will also be a hole-punched compartment for its selfie camera as well.
Over at the back, the device has a vertically-aligned triple-camera setup which is said to house a 108 megapixels main shooter, 16 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as an 8 megapixels telephoto lens.
According to its previous Geekbench listing, the Motorola Edge+ has been confirmed to come with the latest Snapdragon 865 platform which will allow the device to support both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G modes. Similarly, the device will reportedly come with up to 12GB RAM and has a massive 5,000mAh battery.
Besides the Motorola Edge+, there is also likely to be a non-Plus version with slightly toned-down specs. This device could debut alongside the Edge+ 5G on April 22nd as well.
