In the past few months, Motorola has launched a wide range of smartphones in different markets, such as the Moto G31, G41, G51, G71, Edge X30, Edge 30 Pro, and so on. Reports have revealed that the company is working on a more powerful flagship phone, which carries the “Frontier” codename.
While the final moniker of the device is not known yet, it is likely to end up as an Edge-series device. The rumor mill has already leaked the specifications and renders of the device. Chen Jin, who is Lenovo’s General Manager for the Mobile Phone Business Department, has started teasing the arrival of the Motorola Frontier.
The image shown above was shared by Jin. It reveals a 125W fast-charging adapter which is said to weigh around 130 grams. Reports have revealed that the Motorola Frontier will carry support for 125W charging. Hence, it appears that the launch date of the Motorola Frontier may not be far away.
Motorola Frontier Specifications (Rumored)
The Motorola Frontier is rumored to feature a 6.67-inch P-OLED punch-hole screen that offers an FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It is likely to be powered by a new Snapdragon chip that has an SM8475 part number which could be an overclocked version of the existing Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.
The Frontier will ship with LPPDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage combinations such as 8 GB + 128 GB, 8 GB + 256 GB, and 12 GB + 256 GB. The device may be powered by a 4,500mAh battery. Apart from 125W fast charging, it is likely to support 50W wireless charging.
For selfies, it may feature a 60-megapixel front camera. It is likely to come equipped with a 194-megapixel main camera with OIS support, a 50-megapixel ultrawide snapper, and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera. It will come preloaded with Android 12. According to rumors, it will be released in July.
