It’s widely reported that Motorola is currently prepping a number of smartphones ranging from the budget-friendly Moto G41 to the flagship Motorola Edge X which are all slated to be announced in the upcoming months.
But before that happens, Motorola has announced a new entry-level smartphone known as the Moto G Power (2022) in the U.S. market where the phone carries an affordable starting price of just US$199.
For starter, the Motorola Moto G Power (2022) builds around a 6.5” IPS LCD display that offers a HD+ screen resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, as well as an 8 megapixels front-facing camera to help with selfie and video calls.
On the rear side of the phone, the Moto G Power (2022) has a triple-camera array that’s lead by a 50 megapixels main camera as well as a pair of 2 megapixels cameras for macro and depth information. Similarly, there’s also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication as well.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the all-new MediaTek Helio G37 chipset which supposedly has a slight edge in terms of performance over the Helio G35 chipset that powers a huge proportion of budget smartphones.
It also gets 4GB worth of RAM as well as an option between 64GB or 128GB built-in storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card. Sitting at the heart of the phone is none other than a massive 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support.
