Last month, Motorola had confirmed through its Weibo account that it will be launching the Motorola P50 smartphone in June. However, since then the company has been silent on its arrival. Today, the company took to Weibo to confirm that the smartphone will be made official at the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2019.
The MWC Shanghai 2019 that has started today in China will continue until June 28. Various smartphone manufacturers will be announcing new devices and technologies at the event. Motorola has confirmed that the P50 will be announced at the Shanghai tech trade show.
Motorola P50 that features a punch-hole display and dual rear cameras is a rebranded version of the One Vision that has recently released in markets like Brazil, India and some European countries. It will be arriving as the successor of the P30 phone from last year. It appears that the company has avoided calling it P40 since the number 4 is a bad omen in China.
In terms of specs, the Motorola One Vision has a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with 21:9 aspect ratio and support for full HD+ resolution. The Exynos 9609 chipset powers the phone with 4 GB of RAM. It has a native storage of 128 GB. Placed on its rear is a 48-megpaixel + 5-megapixel triple camera setup. It houses a front camera of 25-megapixel. The handset is backed by a 3,500mAh battery that supports 15W rapid charging.
