At the CES 2026 event, Motorola unveiled the Razr Fold as its first-ever book-style foldable phone. So far, the brand has confirmed only a few key specifications of the device and has yet to reveal its official release date. In a new development, tipster Smart Pikachu has indicated when the Razr Fold could reach the market, offering some clarity for those waiting for Motorola’s entry into the book-style foldable segment.

According to the tipster, the Motorola Razr Fold is tentatively scheduled to launch in the second quarter of 2026. At present, there is no information about the device’s pricing or market availability outside its initial release regions. Motorola has also not confirmed whether the phone will debut simultaneously in global markets or roll out in phases.
The Razr Fold recently appeared on Geekbench featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. The listing further revealed that the device includes 16GB of RAM and runs on Android 16, suggesting flagship-level performance and next-generation software support at launch.

Motorola has already confirmed that the Razr Fold features a 6.6-inch OLED cover display and an 8.09-inch LTPO OLED inner screen with a 2K resolution. On the inside, it houses a 20-megapixel and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens with macro support, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
At present, there are no details regarding the Razr Fold’s battery capacity or charging capabilities. Other features include Hello UX-based Android 16, Motorola Pen Ultra support, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The device will be available in Blackened Blue and Lilly White color options.
