Last week, Motorola unveiled the Motorola Razr 40 and the Razr 40 Ultra in multiple markets, including China. Today, the Lenovo-owned brand carried out the first sale of the Razr 40 Ultra in the home market. Soon after making it available for purchase, the company confirmed that the Razr 40 Ultra units were sold out on all the retailer platforms. It also confirmed the number of units that were sold in the first sale.
Motorola had previously confirmed that 2000 units of the Razr 40 Ultra were sold in the first pre-order, which was carried out on June 2. Now, according to Motorola, it sold 10,000 units of the Razr 40 Ultra through platforms, such as Motorola’s online store, Jingdong Mall, Tmall, and Lenovo Lebei in the first sale.

The Razr 40 Ultra is available in two configurations, such as 8 GB RAM = 256 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage, in the Chinese market. Both variants are priced at 5,699 Yuan ($802) and 6,399 Yuan ($900), respectively. It comes in three colors, such as Infinity Black, Glacier Blue, and Viva Magenta.
The Razr 40 Ultra has a 6.9-inch pOLED foldable screen with support for Full HD+ resolution. On the back, it has a 3.6-inch pOLED cover display that produces a 1056 x 1066 pixels resolution. Both displays are protection Gorilla Glass Victus. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage.
The device packs a 3,800mAh battery with 30W wired and 5W wireless charging. It has a 12-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 13-megapixel (ultra-wide) dual-camera system and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. It runs on Android 13 OS and My UX.
In related news, the Razr 40 pre-orders will start on June 18 in China. It is scheduled to go on sale starting June 25.
