A couple of Motorola smartphones have appeared on TENAA today. One of them is a smartphone that has a model number of XT1929-19. Since the XT1929 phone had launched as Motorola Moto Z3 Play, it seems that the XT1929-15 is the regional variant of the same phone. The Moto Z3 Play features Snapdragon 636 chipset under its hood. However, the TENAA listing of the Z3 Play suggests that it may arrive with an upgraded SoC.
According to the TENAA listing of the XT1929-15 smartphone, it features a 6.01-inch AMOLED display that produces Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The handset measures 156.42 x 76.46 x 6.75mm and it has weight of 156 grams. Black, gold and silver are the color variants of Z3 Play for China.
The handset includes a 3,300mAh battery. It may hit the Chinese market in variants like 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. For more storage, it has a microSD card slot. Other features of the phone include Android 8.1 Oreo, 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera, 8-megapixel front camera, side-mounted fingerprint reader and support for Moto Mods accessories.
The Snapdragon 636 that features 1.8 GHz octa-core processor fuels the international version of Moto Z3 Play. However, the XT1929-15 listing states that it includes 2.7 GHz – 1.9 GHz octa-core processor. Probably, instead of SD636, it may include a more powerful SoC like Snapdragon 660.
