Back in March, a report by XDA Developers revealed about three ASUS smartphones with model numbers ASUS_I006D (ASUS_ZS590KS), ASUS_I004D (ASUS_ZS672KS), and ASUS_I007D (ASUS_ZS675KW). The report mentioned that these phones are codenamed SAKE, PICASSO, and VODKA. The _I006D and _I004D smartphones have already launched as the ZenFone 8 and ZenFone 8 Flip. It appears that the I007D will soon debut in China as it has received approval from the TENAA authority of China.
ASUS_I007D Specifications
The ASUS_I007D is a 5G phone that measures 172.92 x 77.33 x 9.55mm and weighs 217.7 grams. The device houses a massive 6.78-inch AMOLED display, but there is no information available on the supported resolution. For security, the display is integrated with a fingerprint scanner.
The device is powered by a 2.84GHz octa-core processor. XDA had previously reported that this phone will come with the Snapdragon 888 mobile platform. There seems to be some collaboration between ASUS and Qualcomm for this phone as it features a Snapdragon logo on the rear shell.
The ASUS_I007D will come with 16 GB of RAM and massive storage of 512 GB. The phone will ship with Android 11 OS. It houses a pair of 1,920mAh batteries with a total rated value of 3,840mAh.
While there is no word on the identity of the ASUS_I007D, it appears that it may not arrive as a ZenFone 8 series phone. Readers are advisable to wait for further reports to know its final marketing name.
