Huawei will be launching the Kirin 9000 chipset powered Huawei Mate 40 series in September. Hence, the rumor mill is likely to gain momentum on revealing leaked information on the Mate 40 series. A tipster from China has shared a leaked shot of a prototype of an upcoming Huawei phone. He hasn’t revealed the name of the device. Since it is an upcoming Huawei phone, it could be the Mate 40 series or Nova 8 series phone that is expected to launch in the remaining months of this year.
The leaked image does not do much in revealing its identity. It seems to be wearing a ceramic shell and there is a placeholder name LOPAIRE mentioned on it. Hopefully, newer leaks will reveal more details on the device.
So far, the rumor mill has revealed that the Mate 40 series will include as many as four devices. It is safe to speculate that two of these devices could be the Huawei Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro smartphone. Initial reports had revealed that the Mate 40 and 40 Pro will be powered by Kirin 1000 chipset. Newer reports are referring to the SoC as Kirin 9000.
The Huawei Mate 40 renders that OnLeaks had released last month showed the phone with a dual punch-hole curved display. The size of the screen could be 6.4 inches. Hence, the phone will be sporting two front-facing cameras. The rear side of the phone may come with a cookie camera housing three cameras.
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a curved screen of around 6.7 inches with dual punch-hole design. It also features a round-shaped camera module on its back for its quad camera setup.
