Earlier this month, iQOO unveiled the iQOO Neo6 flagship phone in China. Fresh information reveals that the Chinese manufacturer is now working on a new flagship. This time around, it’s powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity chip. Here is all the information that is known about the smartphone.
As can be seen in the screengrab, Digital Chat Station’s Weibo post has a blue icon, which indicates that he might have shared the specifications of a new phone by Vivo or its sub-brand iQOO. According to the Chinese publication CNMO, the pronunciation of a particular word in the Weibo post suggests that he is talking about the upcoming iQOO smartphone.
The tipster revealed that iQOO is working on a Dimensity 9000 chipset powered smartphone. The device is equipped with an OLED panel that produces an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The handset houses a 4,700mAh dual-cell battery that carries support for fast charging.
He revealed that the mysterious iQOO phone is now in the testing and evaluation phase. Some asked the tipster in the comments section of the same Weibo post whether he is talking about the iQOO 10 smartphone. He responded by saying that it is too early for the iQOO 10 to arrive.
The new iQOO device may end up as an iQOO 9 series phone. Recently, an upcoming iQOO smartphone named the iQOO 9T with an I2021 model number was spotted in the IMEI database. It remains to be seen whether the tipster is talking about the iQOO 9T or an entirely different phone.
