Huawei is reportedly working on a Pocket-branded clamshell foldable phone for China. So far, the rumor mill has been calling it with different names, such as the Pocket S2 and the P70 Pocket. However, new leaks suggest that the device will be called the Huawei Pocket 2.
According to a reliable Chinese leaker, the said device will not have the Pocket S2 or P70 Pocket names. Instead, it will be called the Huawei Pocket 2. Even tipster Teme has hinted that it will be called the Pocket 2.
Huawei Pocket 2 specifications (rumored)
The rumor mill has been leaking the details of the Pocket S2 in bits and pieces. The device is expected to feature the Kirin 9000S 5G chipset and pack a 4,520mAh battery with 66W fast charging. At present, there is no information about the display size and camera configurations of the Pocket 2.
The device is likely to have a similar design like the existing clamshells. Hence it is expected to circular modules on the back, one housing the triple camera system, while the other one pack will pack the secondary display.
The Pocket 2 is likely to come in grey variant featuring a glass back and a purple model featuring a leather back. It is speculated the Pocket 2 will have a specially designed Art variant, but the details on it are scarce.
Reports have claimed that the Pocket 2 may debut on Feb. 27. In addition, the brand is also said to be working on the Huawei P70 series of flagship phones. It is likely that the P70, P70 Pro, P70 Pro+, and P70 Art may debut in March of this year.
