Although he didn’t reveal much information on this upcoming smartphone series, but he did noted that these devices could be launched as early as May next month. Furthermore, he also hinted that the new Honor Play series smartphones will be arriving with impressive fast-charging capabilities.

If you still remember, the Honor Play4 series launched last year consisted of a total of two models including the vanilla Honor Play4, as well as a higher-end Honor Play4 Pro. Both devices are powered by the Dimensity 800 and Kirin 990 chipsets respectively.

For the upcoming Honor Play series smartphones, they are likely to be fueled by MediaTek’s Dimensity 800 and Dimensity 1000 series chipsets just like the Honor V40 and V40 Lite.

Besides the Honor Play series devices, the company is also reportedly gearing up for the launch of the brand new Honor X20 series smartphones as well.
