Last month, 91mobiles had partnered with renowned leaker @onleaks to bring us the first-ever renders of the upcoming Huawei P40 flagship series.
Although the renders do revealed that the upcoming Huawei P40 will feature a rectangular camera module on its rear panel, but actual details of it were darkened out.
However, thanks to a fresh render from 91Mobiles, we’re finally able to have a look at the exact camera configuration of the Huawei P40.
Unlike the P40 Pro, which has a penta-camera setup, the P40 only has 3 rear cameras which are thought to be a main shooter, ultra-wide lens, as well as a ToF lens.
The Leica-branded camera will also be accompanied by a dual-tone LED flash housed within the same module. Seen in the render above, the camera module makes a slight protrusion from the device’s rear panel.

Due to the omission of periscope camera on the P40, the device will not be able to support the 10x optical zoom which was reportedly present on the P40 Pro.
At current stage, there still isn’t any concrete details regarding the specifications for each of the camera sensors. However, we will definitely learn more about them in the coming months.
If everything went smoothly, the Huawei P40 smartphone series is expected to be unveiled during an official launch event in late March this year.
