At the end of the event, POCO India Country Director Anju Sharma said that there will be a special announcement for POCO F1 users a. In addition, one of the tweets by POCO India that was released earlier today seemingly showcased the design of what appears to be a new F-series phone for India.
The POCO brand began in 2018 with the launch of POCO F1 back in 2018. The flagship killer phone came with a surprisingly low pricing. Since it is one of the bestselling phones from the brand, its fans in India have been eagerly waiting for a successor model.
POCO launched the POCO F2 Pro last year as the rebranded version of the Redmi K30 smartphone in global markets. The F2 Pro never made it to India, and it is unclear whether the recently announced POCO F3 will be coming to the country. However, one of the recent tweets by POCO India suggests that it may launch a new F-series phone with a different design in India.
As it can be seen in the image above, the mysterious F-series phone has a pill-shaped selfie camera cutout, which indicates it may feature a dual selfie camera system. The left edge of the phone has a volume rocker and a power key. Its right side seems to feature a SIM slot. The back panel of the device has a vertical camera module.
It is unclear whether the design teased in the above image is a placeholder or an actual silhouette of the next F-series smartphone for India. POCO India is likely to clear the doubts tomorrow as it will be something for POCO F1 users tomorrow.
