In the previous month, a Nokia phone with model number TA-1054 had received 3C certification. Early rumors had claimed that it could be the alleged Nokia 9 flagship phone, but newer information suggests that it could be 2018 edition of Nokia 6.
It is speculated that the second-generation Nokia 6 would be sporting the same design as the original Nokia 6. The 2018 Nokia 6 is unlikely to feature a front-mounted fingerprint scanner as it will be sporting a narrow chin. The rear camera design of the 2018 Nokia 6 is speculated to be same as Nokia 5. The fingerprint scanner is rumored to be placed on the rear side of the 2018 Nokia 6.
The original Nokia 6 is powered by Snapdragon 430 chipset. However, the second generation model is speculated to be powered by Snapdragon 660 chipset. It is expected to feature 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage.
The Nokia 6 was made official first in China in January this year. It was globally unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 event. HMD Global that owns the rights of launching and selling Nokia branded phones is likely to debut new smartphones at MWC 2018.
The recently launched Nokia 7 has a model number of TA-1041. In the recent past, the mysterious Nokia TA-1042 phone has also received 3C certification. It is likely that the company may announce the 2018 Nokia 6 and the mysterious TA-1042 phone in February 2018 through the MWC event.
