Nokia 6.3 / 6.4 CAD Renders Appear to Reveal Design

HMD Global announced the Nokia 6.2 smartphone back in September 2019. While the rumor mill speculated that it will be replaced with Nokia 6.3 in 2019, it did not come true. Today, reliable tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer shared the CAD renders of the Nokia 6.3. Considering that the model did not arrive in 2019, he speculated that the company may skip the moniker and launch it as Nokia 6.4.

The CAD renders of the Nokia 6.3 show that it will be sporting a waterdrop notch display of 6.45 inches. The device will measure 164.9 x 76.8 x 9.2mm. The thickness of the Nokia 6.3 may increase to 10.1mm at the camera bump.

The renders reveal that the Nokia 6.3 will be sporting a round-shaped camera module. The camera housing will be equipped with four cameras and below it is an LED flash unit. At present, the specific details of the quad camera setup are unavailable.

The Nokia 6.2 featured a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. The renders of the successor model show that the Finnish firm decided to move it to the right edge of the Nokia 6.3. A dedicated button for the Google Assistant seems to be present on the left side of the device. The top edge of the Nokia 6.3 has a 3.5mm audio jack. Its bottom side has a microphone, a USB-C port, and a loudspeaker grille.

Rumors surrounding the Nokia 6.3 have claimed that it could be powered by the older Snapdragon 670 / 675 chipset and a 4,000mAh battery. The device may come with up to 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of storage. It is unclear when HMD Global will be announcing the Nokia 6.3.

The company is known for launching new devices through its event at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) tech exhibition. Hence, it remains to be seen whether the Nokia 6.3 breaks cover at the MWC 2021 next month.
