Nokia 8.3 5G goes official with Snapdragon 765 SoC

As scheduled, HMD Global has officially announced the highly-anticipated Nokia 8.3 5G via an online launch event today.

The Nokia 8.3 5G features a sleek hole-punched display at the front which measures approximately 6.81-inches diagonally. The tiny hole-punched compartment play host to an impressive 24 megapixels selfie camera.

On the flip-side, one of the most notable feature will be none other than it’s circular camera module which somehow reminds us of the upcoming Redmi K30 Pro.

There is a total of four camera sensors which include a 64 megapixels main shooter, 12 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 2 megapixels depth sensor, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera.

It’s worth noting that the device’s ultra-wide lens is capable of supporting the so-called “Action Cam” mode which delivers a 16:9 cinematic aspect ratio as well as a higher frame rate of 60 fps.

Under the hood, the Nokia 8.3 5G is driven by the latest Snapdragon 765 SoC which will allow the device to support 5G connectivity in both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) modes.

The chip will be paired with up to 8GB worth of RAM and as much as 128GB onboard storage space. If you find it insufficient, you can further expand it’s storage space by as much as 400GB via it’s dedicated microSD slot as well.

Moreover, it will be fueled by a massive 4,500mAh battery which supports 18W fast-charging. On the software-side, it will run on the latest Android 10 OS out of the box.

Moving on to it’s pricing, the Nokia 8.3 5G will be priced at €599 (US$650) and €649 (US$695) for it’s 6GB+64GB and 8GB+128GB models respectively. According to HMD Global, it will go on sale in Summer 2020.
