Nokia 9 PureView Unveiled with 5 Cameras, In-display Fingerprint Scanner and Wireless Charging

HMD Global has finally introduced the Nokia 9 PureView smartphone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) tech trade show in Barcelona, Spain. It is the first phone in the world to arrive with five rear-mounted cameras. Moreover, it is also the first Nokia phone to carry support for in-display fingerprint reader and wireless charging.

The Nokia 9 PureView houses a 5.99-inch display that carries support for Quad HD+ resolution. It offers an aspect ratio of 18:9. The screen is shielded by Gorilla Glass 5. There is an optical fingerprint scanner embedded under the display of the phone. The Snapdragon 845 chipset powers the smartphone along with 6 GB of RAM. It comes with a native storage of 128 GB. The Nokia 9 PureView has 7 cutouts on its rear. While two of them belong to LED flash and ToF sensor, the others are for two RGB sensors and two monochrome sensors. It has a selfie snapper of 20-megapixel. There is a 3,320mAh battery that carries support for 18W fast charging and 10W wireless charging. The Android One edition of the Android 9 Pie OS comes preinstalled on the device. It carries a price tag of $699. The sale of the smartphone will begin in the coming month. The handset can be availed in Midnight Blue color.
