Last year in February, Nokia announced the Nokia G21 mid-range phone. It appears that the company is now working on its successor model, the Nokia G22. The G22 has now appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking site to reveal some of its key specifications.
The Nokia G22 Geekbench listing reveals that it is powered by a Unisoc. The CPU details mentioned in the listing revealed that it could be equipped with the Unisoc T606, which is the same chip that powers the G21.
The SoC is coupled with 4 GB of RAM, and the device runs on Android 12. In the single-core test of Geekbench 5, the device scored 308 points. In the multi-core test, on the other hand, it scored 1094 points.
At present, there is no other information about the Nokia G22. The Geekbench appearance of the device is a good hint that the company could be testing its performance before making it official. It remains to be seen whether it debuts this month.
To recall, the Nokia G21 features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display that offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The Unisoc T606 chip onboard is coupled with up to 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of storage. It comes preloaded with the Android 12 OS.
The Nokia G21 features an 8-megapixel camera for shooting selfies. The back panel of the device has a 50-megapixel main camera and a pair of 2-megapixel cameras for depth and macro shots. It has a 5,050mAh battery that supports 18W charging. For security, it has a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
