Nokia has a couple of mid-range phones featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera. A new leak reveals that the company is working on a new phone, which has the codename “Venom.” It appears that this device could be Nokia’s first phone to feature a 64-megapixel camera.
As can be seen, the Nokia Venom will have a rectangle-shaped camera module housing a triple camera unit and an LED flash at the upper-left corner. The inscribed text next to the camera confirms that the device has a 64-megapixel main camera.
The label available on the phone’s back reveals that the Nokia Venom has a pair of 2-megapixel cameras from Union Optech. These could be fitted on the device for shooting macro and depth shots. The back panel of the device seems to be made out of polycarbonate material. It appears that the Nokia Venom could be yet another mid-range offering from the brand.
The model number of the Nokia Venom is TA-1529. At present, there is no information on the final name of the device. The “ROW” text that can be seen on the label means “rest of the world,” which indicates that the device will receive a wider release. Hopefully, newer reports will shed more information on the other specs of the device.
In related news, four new Nokia phones with model numbers TA-1533, TA-1536, TA-1541, and TA-1539 have been approved by the Bluetooth SIG authority. The TA-1533 appears to be the Nokia C22, which was recently announced at the MWC 2023 event. The identities of the other Nokia phones are not known yet.
