During an online launch event, Nubia has officially announced their latest mid-ranger offering known as the Nubia Play. This device comes with loads of interesting features which ain’t normally found among mid-ranger smartphones.
Nubia Play Specifications
For starter, the Nubia Play sports a 6.65-inches FHD+ AMOLED display which offers a buttery-smooth 144Hz screen refresh rate as well as an impressive 240Hz touch sampling rate. Moreover, its front display also supports the DCI-P3 color space and has an in-display fingerprint sensor as well.
Over on its flip-side, there is a unique-looking camera module which is flanked by a LED flash on its left, and another camera sensor towards its right. The camera sensors include a 48 megapixels main shooter, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor. This will be accompanied by a 12 megapixels selfie camera at the front.
Under the hood, the Nubia Play will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 765G SoC which gives the device ability to support both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G modes. This will be paired up with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB onboard storage space in the memory compartment.
To provide a more immersive gaming experience for its users, the device’s nubia UI 8 (based on Android 10) also has a “Play Space” feature which provide custom optimizations to boost the device’s performance. Moving on, the Nubia Play also feature the ICE 2.5 rack liquid cooling system which helps to keep the phone’s temperature down during intensive gaming.
To keep its lights on, the Nubia Play is fueled by a mammoth 5,100mAh battery which supports up to 30W fast-charging. For those who’re interested, the device will be available in three different colorways including Blue, Black and White.

In terms of pricing, the Nubia Play will be priced at 2,399 Yuan (US$486), 2,699 Yuan (US$546) and 2,999 Yuan (US$607) respectively for its 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, as well as 8GB+256GB models.
