Nubia X 5G Announced in China with Snapdragon 855

Last year, Nubia had launched the Nubia X smartphone with dual displays. Now, the Chinese firm has announced a 5G edition of the smartphone in China. However, the company is yet to confirm on its launch date.

The Nubia X 5G is a refreshed Nubia X smartphone from 2018. Instead of the Snapdragon 845 chipset, the Nubia X 5G features the latest Snapdragon 855 chipset along with the X50 5G modem. There is no information available on the other specs of the phone. Considering the fact that the Nubia X 5G supports 5G connectivity, it may feature a slightly smaller battery than the original model in a bid to house 5G antennas and modified motherboard.

The Nubia X smartphone that was announced in October 2018. On the front, it features a 6.26-inch IPS LCD panel with notch-less design. The rear side of the phone has a smaller 5.1-inch OLED display. It is equipped with two side-mounted fingerprint sensors.

The Snapdragon 845 powered phone comes with 8 GB of RAM and an internal storage of up to 256 GB. There is no microSD card slot on the device and it also lacks a front-facing camera. However, the rear-mounted 16-megapixel + 24-megapixel dual camera setup can be used to capture regular shots and selfie images. The 3,800mAh battery of the phone supports 18W fast charging.
