Earlier this week, Nubia President teased the arrival of a new Z-series smartphone. Since the last Z-series phone from the brand was the Nubia Z20 that debuted back in August 2019, it is speculated that the next Z-lineup phone will be called the Nubia Z30. An alleged image of the Z30 has appeared today to reveal its rear design and camera capabilities.
The leaked image shows that the Nubia Z30 has a curved back with red brick color. The camera housing has a quad-camera setup, which carries support for 100x hybrid zoom. The camera island also features a pill-shaped dual-LED flash unit, and carries a Nubia branding directly below the camera housing.
The new image matches with the leaked render of the Nubia Z30 that surfaced on Weibo yesterday. The render revealed that the front side of the phone has a curved edge display that offers a full-screen experience as it does not feature a punch-hole or a notch.
This indicates that the phone could be equipped with an in-display camera or a pop-up selfie camera. Considering that the device is from ZTE, the Z30 is expected to feature in-screen selfie snapper.
The only thing that is known about the Nubia Z30 is that it will be fueled by the Snapdragon 888 mobile platform. Hopefully, more reports will reveal more information on the device. If nothing goes wrong, the Nubia Z30 may break cover in next month in the Chinese market.
In related news, Nubia is reportedly gearing to launch a phone number Red Magic 6R. This moniker is rumored to belong to the NX666J smartphone, which was approved by the TENAA authority recently.
The TENAA listing revealed that it will be arriving with specs like a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with an in-screen fingerprint reader, a 2.84GHz chipset, up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, 4,100mAh battery, 16-megapixel front camera, as well as a 64-megapixel quad-camera system.
