Nubia is working on a couple of new smartphones for the Chinese market. These include the Red Magic 9 series, the Nubia Z60 Ultra, the Nubia Z60, the Nubia Z50 SE, and the Nubia Z60 Fold foldable phone. The Red Magic 9 series and Z60 Ultra will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, but it is unclear whether any of these will debut this year. What appears certain is the launch of the Nubia Z50 SE, as it has been approved by the TENAA authority in China.
Nubia Z50 SE design
An upcoming Nubia phone with model number NX715J has appeared in the database of the TENAA certification. While there is no official information on its marketing name, it is tipped to be called the Nubia Z50 SE when it debuts in China.
On the front, the Z50 SE has an AMOLED display with curved edges, a centred punch-hole, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The back panel of the phone has a large rectangle module, which has Nubia branding on the right, and a triple camera unit with LED flash on the left.
The overall design of the Z50 SE is quite similar to the Nubia Axon 50 Ultra. At present, there is no information on the specifications of the device, but rumors surrounding it have claimed that it will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
The device has also bagged approval from the 3C certification platform in China. The listing reveals that the device may come with support for 80W charging.
