Several Chinese smartphone brands are preparing to launch their flagship phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in the domestic market. ZTE is set to introduce the Nubia Z60 Ultra and Red Magic 9 series before the year concludes. A new leak from tipster Digital Chat Station has disclosed the battery capacities of these upcoming smartphones.
The leak indicates that the Nubia and Red Magic flagship phones, running on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, will feature an under-display front camera. While the specific names of these devices aren’t mentioned, it’s likely the Z60 Ultra and Red Magic 9 Pro are being referred to.+
The leak also mentions dual-cell batteries with capacities of 5,500mAh and 6,300mAh, although it’s unclear which phone will be equipped with each of these batteries. For context, the Nubia Z50 Ultra has a 5,000mAh battery, hinting at a 5,500mAh battery for the Z60 Ultra, and the Red Magic 9 Pro is expected to boast a 6,300mAh battery, a significant upgrade from its predecessor’s 6,000mAh battery.
The Nubia Z60 Ultra, which reportedly bears the model number NX721J, was recently spotted on Geekbench. The listing revealed that the device has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, 12 GB of RAM, and Android 14. It is likely that the Z60 Ultra could be equipped with a 35mm, 1-inch primary camera.
On the other hand, it is speculated that the Nubia phone with model number NX769J, which was spotted on Geekbench recently, could be the Red Magic 9 series phone. It was also spotted with the same specs as the Z60 Ultra.
