Chinese smartphone maker Honor has officially announced a new mid-range model known dubbed as the Honor X40 in it’s domestic market. This came two months after the company announced the X40i in the country,
The new Honor X40 builds around a 6.67” AMOLED display with FHD+ screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, as well as an 8 megapixels front-facing camera to help with selfies and video calls.
Over on the rear side, it has a circular camera housing which kind of resembles what we saw on the newly announced Huawei Mate 50 Pro, featuring a dual-cam setup that comprises of a 50 megapixels main camera and a 2 megapixels depth sensing unit.
Under the hood, the Honor X40 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 695 chipset which will be paired with up to 12GB and 256GB onboard storage which doesn’t appears to feature any form of storage expansion.
Keeping it’s lights on will be a respectable 5,100mAh battery which carries support for 40W fast-charging. Software-wise, it’ll be shipped with Magic UI 6.1 based on Android 12 OS out of the box.
Those who’re interested can pick the phone from four different colorways such as Gold, Black, Blue and Green. Pricing for the phone will start from as low as 1,499 Yuan ($301) for the 6GB+128GB base model and goes up to 2,299 Yuan ($462) for the top-of-the-line model with 12GB+256GB configuration.
