After launching the Honor 80 series smartphones last month, Honor is now back with a new entry-level smartphone dubbed as the Honor X5 which shapes up to be the most affordable model within the X series lineup.
The new Honor X5 features a 6.5” TFT LCD display offering a HD+ screen resolution along with 60Hz refresh rate. For selfies and video calls, there’s also a 5 megapixels front-facing camera that sits within a waterdrop-notch.
Flipping the phone over, the Honor X5 greets us with a square-shaped camera bump which houses a single 8 megapixels camera along with a LED flash to help with low-light photography. It’ll be available in three different paintjobs such as Sunrise Orange, Ocean Blue and Midnight Black.
Under the hood, the phone will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 chipset which will be paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage which supports microSD card for storage expansion.
Keeping it’s lights on will be a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 10W wired charging speed. Software-wise, the phone will be shipped with Android 12 (Go Edition) out of the box.
At the moment, the official pricing and availability of the Honor X5 remain under the wrap. However, we do expect them to be announced in the upcoming weeks.
