Chinese telecommunication giant Huawei has announced a new entry-level tablet dubbed as the MatePad C5e that’s specifically targeted towards business users, offering business-centric features such as ”Secure Erase Function” that aims to safeguard critical data.
The new Huawei MatePad C5e measures 240.2 × 159.0 × 7.85mm and weighs approximately 450 grams. It comes with a large 10.1” IPS LCD display sporting a sharp-looking 1920 x 1200 pixels screen resolution along with 60Hz screen refresh rate.
To help with video conferencing, it features a 2 megapixels front-facing camera situated along the longer side of the bezel. Likewise, there’s also a 5 megapixels rear-facing camera which allows users to do a quick snap of their documents easily with the tablet.
Under the hood, the Huawei MatePad C5s is powered by the company’s in-house HiSilicon Kirin 710A chipset which will be paired with 4GB RAM as well as 64GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.
Keeping it’s lights on is a respectable 5,100mAh battery which doesn’t appears to carry any form of fast-charging support. Software-wise, the slate will be shipped with a slightly older EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10 OS.
The Huawei MatePad C5s will be offered in a single Deep Blue variant in the Japanese market where the company has yet to officially announce the official pricing and availability of the tablet.
