Recently, we’d heard about the existence of a new Huawei smartphone known as the Huawei Nova 9 SE via a series of leaks courtesy of German publisher Winfuture. Now, Huawei Malaysia has officially confirmed that the phone will be launching on March 11th in the Malaysian market.
Also, the teaser released by the company reaffirmed that the phone will be touting a familiar design quite similar to what we saw on last year’s Huawei Nova 9. What that means is that the Nova 9 SE will be coming with a centered hole-punch display upfront as well as an oval-shaped camera island at the back.
Based on what we’d learned so far, the Huawei Nova 9 SE is expected to feature a 6.78” IPS LCD display which offers a FHD+ screen resolution with an unspecified refresh rate. A centered hole-punch cutout is also present to accommodate it’s 16 megapixels front-facing camera.
On the rear side, the phone comes with a total of four cameras comprising of a 108 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera, as well as a pair of 2 megapixels cameras for macro and depth information. For those who might not know, the Nova 9 SE actually shapes up to be the first Huawei smartphone to feature a 108MP snapper.
Under the hood, the Huawei Nova 9 SE is tipped to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 665 chipset which will be paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage which carries support for storage expansion via a microSD card.
Moving on. the device is also expected to be backed by a 4,000mAh battery which supports an unspecified fast-charging speed. As usual, we can expect it to be shipped with EMUI 12 based on Android 11 OS right off the box.
