Official: Infinix HOT 12 Pro debuts with UNISOC T616, 50MP dual cameras & 18W fast-charging

Chinese electronics giant Infinix has announced a new entry-level smartphone dubbed as the Infinix HOT 12 Pro in the Asian market. As you can probably tell from the moniker itself, this will be (slightly) bumped up model of the April-announced HOT 12 model.

The new Infinix HOT 12 Pro builds around a 6.6” IPS LCD display featuring a HD+ screen resolution along with 90Hz refresh rate. As usual, the phone adopts a waterdrop-notch design to accommodate an 8 megapixels front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

On the imaging front, the main camera will receive a huge upgrade from a 13MP imaging sensor to a high-res 50MP imaging sensor. This will be rounded out by an auxiliary AI lens as well as a LED flash.

Infinix HOT 12 Pro Color Options

Under the hood, the Infinix HOT 12 Pro is powered by an octa-core UNISOC T616 chipset which will be paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card.

The device will be backed by a respectable 5,000mAh battery which carries support for 18W fast-charging. It’ll be shipped with a custom XOS 10.6 based on Android 12 OS out of the box.

Those who’re interested can pick the phone from four different colorways such as Racing Black, Electric Blue, Lightsaber Green and Halo White. Pricing from the phone starts from INR 10,499 ($131) for the 6GB+64GB model and goes up to INR 11,999 ($150) for the top-of-the-line model with 8GB+128GB configuration.
