Besides launching the new iQOO Z6, iQOO has also unveiled a more affordable model dubbed as the iQOO Z6x which packs a watered-down chipset and camera system to keep it’s cost low.
The phone builds around a 6.58” IPS LCD display featuring a FHD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, as well as an 8 megapixels front-facing camera to help with selfies and video calls.
Unlike the iQOO Z6 which has a total of three rear cameras, the iQOO Z6x settled with two cameras comprising of a toned-down 50 megapixels main camera along with a 2 megapixels camera for portrait shots.
It’ll be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset instead of the Snapdragon 778G+ chip that was found on the iQOO Z6. This will be supplemented by up to 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone is backed by a large 6,000mAh battery which carries support for 44W fast wired charging. As usual, the phone will be shipped with a custom OriginOS Ocean based on Android 12 OS out of the box.
Those who’re interested can pick the phone from three different colorways such as Black, Orange and Blue. It’ll be priced starting from 1,199 Yuan ($174) for the 6GB+128GB model and up to 1,599 Yuan ($232) for the top-of-the-line model with 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage.
