Official: OnePlus Nord 3 5G debuts with MediaTek Dimensity 9000, 50MP triple cameras & 80W fast-charging

As scheduled, OnePlus has officially announced the new OnePlus Nord 3 5G smartphone which will be succeeding last year’s best-selling Nord 2 5G. Apart from the slight redesign, the new model also comes with upgraded hardware including a faster chipset and charging speed.

Starting with the front side of the phone, the new OnePlus Nord 3 5G builds around a 6.43” OLED display with FHD+ screen resolution as well as a fast 120Hz refresh rate. To help with selfies and video calls, it also has a 16 megapixels front-facing camera tucked into a centered punch-hole cutout.

On the rear side, the OnePlus Nord 3 5G features a triple rear camera system lead by a 50 megapixels (Sony IMX890) main camera. This will be paired up with an 8 megapixels ultra-wide and 2 megapixels macro unit for close-up photography.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset that offers a slight performance boost over the Dimensity 1200 platform on last year’s model. Other than that, the Nord 3 5G also comes with up to 16GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department.

As far as battery life is concerned, the OnePlus Nord 3 5G is backed by a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast wired charging support. Software-wise, the phone will be shipped with OxygenOS 13 based on Android 13 out of the box.

Those who’re interested can pick the phone from two different colorways such as Misty Green and Tempest Gray. Pricing for the €499 for the 8GB+128GB trim and goes up to €549 for the higher-end model with 16GB+256GB configuration.
