OPPO is known for launching some of the best budget smartphones from it’s A series lineup such as the OPPO A96 (Review) which we’d gotten a chance to review recently. Now, the company is back with another attractive model dubbed as the OPPO A17 in the local market which carries an affordable launch price of just S$229.
The new OPPO A17 smartphone builds around a 6.56” LCD display featuring a HD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate as well as a modest 5 megapixels front-facing camera that sits a waterdrop-notch. Over on the back, it features a dual-ring housing which play host to a pair of cameras including a 50 megapixels main camera and a 2 megapixels depth sensing unit that helps with portrait shots.
Sitting at the heart of the phone is an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 chipset which will be paired with 4GB RAM along with 64GB onboard storage which supports further expansion via a microSD card. Likewise, the phone is also fitted with a large 5,000mAh battery which promises long hours of usage on the go.
Other noteworthy features accompanying the phone also include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well as IPX4 rating for water resistance. Those who’re interested can pick the phone from two different colors such as Lake Blue and Midnight Black.
