Official: OPPO A1x debuts with MediaTek Dimensity 700, 13MP dual cameras & 5,000mAh battery

OPPO has officially unveiled a new entry-level smartphone known as the OPPO A1x in the Chinese market which comes with a slightly toned-down specs from the OPPO A1 Pro that was launched back in November last year.

The new model sports a 6.56” LCD display featuring a HD+ screen resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, as well as an 8 megapixels front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. At the back, it comes with a dual-ring camera design which houses a pair of cameras comprising of a 13MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensing unit for portraits.

Under the hood, the OPPO A1x is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset which will be paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card.

Keeping it’s lights on is a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 10W wired charging support. Other than that, the phone also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired earphones.

Those who’re interested can pick the phone from two different colors such as Black and Blue. Pricing for the OPPO A1x starts from just 1,399 Yuan ($204) for the 6GB+128GB trim and goes up to 1,599 Yuan ($233) for the higher-end model with 8GB+128GB configuration.
