Back in May this year, OPPO launched the A57 (4G) smartphone powered by MediaTek’s Helio G35 chipset. Fast-forward three months, the company is now back with a new model in the European market known as the A57s which comes with an identical design amidst some minor upgrades to it’s hardware.
More specifically, the new OPPO A57s features an upgraded 50 megapixels main camera rather than the 13MP unit which was used in the A57. However, it continues to stick with the same 2MP monochrome lens that will be used for portrait shots.
Other than that, the rest of the specs remain pretty much the same as the A57 including a 6.56” FHD+ LCD display with 60Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Helio G35 chipset, 8MP selfie camera, 5,000mAh battery, 33W wired charging as well as ColorOS 12.1 (based on Android 12 OS).
Those who’re interested in the new OPPO A57s can pick the phone from two different colors such as Starry Black and Sky Blue. Sad to say, OPPO has yet to announce the official pricing and availability of the smartphone at the time of writing.
