After launching the OPPO A58 smartphone last month, OPPO is now back with a slightly toned-down model dubbed as the OPPO A58x which comes with a more affordable launch price of just 1,200 Yuan ($173) in the Chinese market.
The new OPPO A58x builds around a 6.56” LCD display which supports a HD+ screen resolution along with a fast 90Hz refresh rate. To help with selfies and video calls, the phone also has an 8 megapixels front-facing camera that sits within a waterdrop-notch.
Over at the back, there’s a dual-ring camera housing which is home to a pair of cameras comprising of a 13 megapixels main camera as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensing unit for portrait shots.
Under the hood, the OPPO A58 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset which will be paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage which is expandable via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone is backed by a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 10W wired charging support. Other than that, there’s also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired earphones.
