POCO will be looking to build upon the success of it’s POCO F3 series smartphones with the upcoming launch of the POCO F4 GT smartphone on April 26th later this month. This will be a global launch event which will be livestreamed across various platforms such as Facebook and YouTube.
Although POCO has yet to shed any details pertaining to the upcoming POCO F4 GT, but reports were rife that the device could be a rebranded model of the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition smartphones which was launched in the Chinese market earlier this year.
This speculation was attested by it’s recent Geekbench listing which revealed the presence the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset under the hood, just like the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition smartphone.
If that’s the case, then we can expect the POCO F4 GT to arrive with familiar specs such as an impressive 6.67” AMOLED display which offers a sharp FHD+ screen resolution along with a smooth 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate.
On the imaging side of things, it’s expected to feature a triple-cam unit comprising of a 64MP Sony IMX686 main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera, as well as a 2 megapixels telemacro camera. This is likely to be rounded out by a 20 megapixels front-facing camera.
To keep it’s lights, the POCO F4 GT could be backed by a respectable 4,700mAh battery with 120W fast charging that’s capable of delivering a full charge in just 17 minutes.
