Xiaomi has officially announced a new mid-range model in the Indian market dubbed as the Redmi K50i which is basically a rebranded model of the Redmi Note 11T Pro 5G that was launched in the Chinese market back in March this year.
The new Redmi K50i builds around a 6.6” IPS LCD display offering a FHD+ screen resolution along with an ultra-smooth 144Hz refresh rate which put the phone on far with other gaming-centric smartphones in this aspect. For selfies and video calls, the phone also features a centered punch-hole camera cutout to accommodate it’s 16MP selfie snapper.
Over on the rear side, the Redmi K50i sports a triple-cam system lead by a 64 megapixels Samsung ISOCELL GW1 main camera with a relatively large 1.72” sensor size. Accompanying the main camera is none other than a 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera for landscape photography as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera for close-up shots.
Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset which will be paired with up to 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage in the memory department. Keeping it’s lights on is a respectable 4,400mAh battery that carries support for 120W fast-charging which is capable of achieving a 0 to 100% sprint in merely 19 minutes.
Other than that, the Redmi K50i also features a 3.5mm headphone jack, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity support, as well as MIUI 13 based on Android 12 OS.
Those who’re interested can pick the phone from three different colorways such as black, blue and silver. It will be priced at INR25,999 ($325) and INR28,999 ($362) respectively for it’s 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB variants.
