Xiaomi had already confirmed that the company will be launching the Redmi Note 11 series smartphones globally on January 26th later this week. According to reports, at least two different models are expected to break cover including the vanilla Redmi Note 11 and Note 11 Pro.
Now, the company has announced that it will be holding a separate launch event on February 9th in India where it unveils another model known as the Redmi Note 11S, which is speculated to be a country exclusive model.
According to a recent leak, the Redmi Note 11S is expected to arrive with some redesign on the rear side of the phone, though it will retain the same centered hole-punch display on the front side.
In terms of specs, the Redmi Note 11S was tipped to feature a 90Hz AMOLED display that comes with a 13 megapixels front-facing camera. This time round, it’s expected to receive a nice upgrade to it’s rear camera system as the phone is said to swap the 64MP main unit on the Redmi Note 10S for a 108 megapixels main camera instead.
As for the other three cameras, they are likely to include an 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera as well as a pair of 2 megapixels auxiliary sensors. Although there isn’t any mention on the underlying chipset, but the phone was rumored to arrive with a MediaTek-branded chipset.
