Official: Samsung Galaxy Note20 series will be launched on August 5th

After much speculations, Samsung has finally confirmed that the company’s next Unpacked event will be held on August 5th. During the event, Samsung is expected to announce the next generation’s Galaxy Note20 series, Galaxy Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, as well as Galaxy Watch 3 according to a recent report by Korea Herald.

The main star of the event is of course the Galaxy Note20 series which is said to consist of two different models including the vanilla Note20, as well as an ultra high-end model known as the Galaxy Note20 Ultra. Recently, the official renders and several live shots of the Galaxy Note20 ultra had already been leaked out.

The upcoming Galaxy Note20 Ultra will be maintaining a similar Infinity-O display which is slightly curved along its two sides – quite similar to what we saw on the current Galaxy Note 10 Plus.

Over at the back, the device will feature a sleek-looking rectangular housing which play host to a triple-cameras system alongside a LED flash and what seems to be a laser autofocus module.

In terms of specs, the brand new Galaxy Note20 Ultra is expected to be helmed by a flagship Snapdragon 865 or Exynos 992 platform depending on the region where the device is released. This will be supported by up to 12GB of RAM and as much as 512GB onboard storage.

After slipping behind Huawei for the first time in the month of April, the pressure is now piling up on Samsung to regain their foothold in the global smartphone market.
