Following the success of last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 3, Samsung is now back with the launch of it’s next-generation’s Galaxy Z Fold 4 foldable flagship which promises better productivity and photography experience with a new ergonomic design as well as an upgraded chipset and imaging system.
Just like the preceding models, the new Galaxy Z Fold 4 continues to adopt an inward-folding design with a secondary display facing the outside. Compared to last year’s model, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is slightly shorter at 155.1mm, though there’s no corresponding changes in terms of width.
The outward-facing display is a 6.2” Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with FHD+ screen resolution as well as an ultra-smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Unlike last year’s Z Fold 3, the new model features a more manageable 23:9 tall aspect ratio thanks to slimmer bezels along the edges.
Unfolding the smartphone will allow users to enjoy a tablet-like experience with a large 7.6” Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with FHD+ screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, as well as an impressive peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits which ensures the screen remains visible even when using the device in an environment with strong ambient light.
To improve the overall durability of the device, the Galaxy Z Fold 4’s secondary display and rear cover is backed by an extra layer of Gorilla Glass Victus+, while the frame is made of Armor Aluminum – the same material which was used on the Galaxy S22 Ultra (Review). Also, let’s not forget that the Z Fold 4 is IPX8 certified for water resistance as well.
Coming to the imaging front, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 features an identical triple-cam setup as the Galaxy S22 and S22+. That means it will share the same 50 megapixels main camera, 12 megapixels ultra-wide camera, as well as a 10 megapixels telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom to help with faraway shots.
Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset which will be paired with up to 12GB RAM and 1TB onboard storage in the memory department. This will be supplemented by a respectable 4,400mAh battery which supports 25W fast-charging.

Starting today, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be available for pre-order in Singapore via Samsung Online Store, Samsung Official Store in Lazada, Shopee and Amazon, selected Consumer Electronics & IT online stores and telecommunication operators online stores (Singtel, StarHub).
Pricing for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 starts from $2,398 for it’s 256GB variants and goes up to $2,938 for the top-of-the-line model with 1TB storage. Otherwise, a midway model with 512GB is also available at $2,578.
