Official: Vivo launches the S16 Pro with MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset, 50MP triple cameras & 66W fast-charging

After launching the Vivo S15 Pro back in May this year, Vivo is now back with the brand new S16 Pro smartphone which boasts some decent upgrades across the broad, including the imaging and processing department. Without further ado, let’s check out what the new device has in store for us!

Specifications

The new Vivo S16 Pro builds around a bright 6.78” AMOLED display featuring a FHD+ screen resolution along with a fast 120Hz refresh rate. To help with selfies and video calls, the phone also has a 50 megapixels front-facing camera that sits within a centered punch-hole cutout. This is certainly a nice improvement over the 32MP selfie cam on the S15 Pro.

Vivo S16 Pro Color Options

Over at the back, the S16 Pro greets us with a triple-cam setup housed within a large rectangular camera island. These cameras include a 50 megapixels (Sony IMX766V) main camera with OIS stabilization, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera as well as a 2 megapixels macro unit for close-up photography.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset which will be paired with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB onboard storage in the memory department. Keeping it’s lights on will be a respectable 4,600mAh battery which carries support for 66W fast wired charging.

Pricing & Availability

For those who’re interested, the Vivo S16 Pro is available in two different colorways such as Black and Jade Green. Pricing for the phone starts from 3,299 Yuan ($472) for the 12GB+256GB trim and goes up to 3,599 Yuan ($515) for the top-of-the-line model with 12GB+512GB configuration.
