Vivo has officially unveiled the new Vivo S17e smartphone in the Chinese market which will be succeeding last year’s S16e. This is the first device from the latest S17 series lineup which is expected to feature at least three different models including the vanilla S17 as well as a higher-end S17 Pro.
Starting with the front side of the phone, the new Vivo S17e features a 6.78” AMOLED display sporting a FHD+ screen resolution as well as a fast 120Hz refresh rate. To help with selfies and video calls, the phone also has a 16MP front-facing camera that sits within a centered punch-hole cutout.
Flipping the phone over, we’ll be greeted by a rectangular-shaped camera module which houses a pair of rear-facing cameras comprising of a 64MP main snapper with OIS stabilization as well as a 2MP depth sensing unit for portraits.
The S17e is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset which will be paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department. Other than that, the phone is also backed by a respectable 4,600mAh battery with 66W fast wired charging support.
Those who’re interested can pick the phone from three different color options such as Black, Blue and Gold. Pricing for the Vivo S17e starts from just 2,099 Yuan ($301) for the 8GB+128GB trim and goes up to 2,499 Yuan ($359) for the top-of-the-line model with 12GB+256GB configuration.
