Vivo has officially confirmed that the company will be launching it’s next-generation’s Vivo X80 series smartphones on April 25th in the Chinese market, where we can expect at least three models to be unveiled including the vanilla Vivo X80, Vivo X80 Pro, as well as the top-of-the-line Vivo X80 Pro+.
Although the company has yet to shed light on the hardware details of these devices, but the latest teaser released by the company has revealed that the X80 series smartphones would be coming with a rather similar rear design as the newly announced Vivo X Note.
What that mean is that the devices would be coming with a large-sized rectangular island on the upper-halve section of it’s rear panel which features a circular camera module which houses it’s main camera system.
Earlier reports suggest that the Vivo X80 Pro and Pro+ would be coming with an additional camera over the vanilla model, though there weren’t much details pertaining to it’s imaging specs at the moment. Nonetheless, their camera system are all co-developed with photography specialist Zeiss.
In terms of it’s hardware specs, the flagship Vivo X80 Pro+ will reportedly be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, while the X80 Pro had been tipped to settle with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 chip instead.
Just like last year’s X70 series smartphones, some (if not all) of the X80 series smartphones are expected to make their way to the global markets shortly after it’s domestic launch. However, it remains to be seen whether the recently announced Vivo X Note and X Fold devices would make their way to the global markets too.
