Vivo has officially announced a new entry-level smartphone dubbed as the Vivo Y56 in the global market with India being it’s first destination. The launch came just days after the company unveiled the Y100 smartphone in the same country.
Right off the bat, the Vivo Y56 smartphone builds around a 6.58” IPS LCD display featuring a FHD+ screen resolution along with 60Hz refresh rate. To help with selfies and video calls, the phone also has a 16 megapixels front-facing camera that sits within a waterdrop-notch upfront.
Over on the rear side, it features a rectangular-shaped camera module that houses a pair of cameras lead by a 50 megapixels main camera which will be joined by a 2 megapixels depth sensing unit for portrait shots.
Under the hood, the Vivo Y56 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset which will be accompanied by 8GB RAM and 128GB expandable storage. Keeping it’s lights on is a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support.
Those who’re interested can pick the phone from two different colorways such as Black Engine and Orange Shimmer. It’ll be priced at just INR19,999 ($241) for the 8GB+1218GB trim in the Indian market.
