Vivo has officially announced a new smartphone from it’s budget-centric Y series lineup known as the Vivo Y77 5G. This device brings along many promising hardware and features, but the most important of all is that the Vivo Y77 5G is actually the first smartphone in the world to be equipped with MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 930 chipset.
To allow users to take full advantage of the powerful chipset, the Vivo Y77 also features a respectable 6.64” IPS LCD display offering a FHD+ screen resolution along with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Other than that, there’s also an 8 megapixels front-facing camera that handles selfies and video calls on the device.
Over at the back, the Vivo Y77 sports a rectangular camera enclosure which has a pair of large circular lenses comprising of a 50 megapixels main camera and a 2 megapixels depth unit to help with portrait shots. Also, the back of the phone is available in a trio of colors such as Blue, Black and Pink.
Sitting at the heart of the phone is an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 930 chipset which will be paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card. The device will also draw power from a large 4,500mAh battery with 80W fast-charging support.
For those who’re interested, the Vivo Y77 will be priced starting from 1,499 Yuan ($224) for it’s 6GB+128GB trim and goes up to 1,999 Yuan ($299) for the top-of-the-line model with 12GB+256GB configuration.
