While all eyes are on the new Xiaomi 12T flagship series smartphones, but it’s also worth noting that the company has silently announced a new budget-centric smartphone dubbed as the Redmi A1+.
The new Redmi A1+ smartphone comes with a 6.52” IPS LCD display with HD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate as well as a 5 megapixels front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
Over on the rear side, the phone features a dual-cam setup that sits inside a square-shaped camera module. These cameras include an 8 megapixels main camera and a 0.3 megapixels auxiliary camera. Other than that, there’s also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Under the hood, the Redmi A1+ is powered by a quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 chipset which will be paired with up to 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage which supports further expansion via a microSD card.
Keeping it’s lights on is none other than a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 10W wired charging support. As usual, the phone will be shipped with Android 12 OS (Go Edition) right off the box.
Those who’re interested can pick the device from a trio of colors such as Light Blue, Light Green, and Black. Pricing for the Redmi A1+ is set at just $85 for the 3GB+32GB model in the Kenyan market.
