OnePlus will announce the OnePlus 12 flagship on Dec. 5 in China. As expected, the company is now busy revealing the key details of the smartphone. Today, it rolled out the following poster to confirm the camera specifications of the OnePlus 12.
OnePlus revealed that the OnePlus 12 has a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-808 primary camera equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Complementing this is a 48-megapixel Sony IMX581 ultra-wide lens.
The device incorporates a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, utilizing the OmniVision OV64B sensor. Additionally, a 13-channel multi-spectral sensor enhances the camera setup’s capabilities. Notably, this impressive camera array is not exclusive to the OnePlus 12 alone, as it is also available on the OnePlus Open and OPPO Find N3 foldable phone, promising a consistent and high-quality imaging experience across these devices. The company is currently silent about the front camera of the OP12, but reports have claimed that it will have a 32-megapixel front camera.
The OnePlus 12, which features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, will arrive with other flagships, such as the Xiaomi 14 Pro, iQOO 12 Pro, Meizu 21, Redmi K70 Pro, and Realme GT 5 Pro that are equipped with the same chipset. The OP12 is also expected to be released globally in January.
A press release detailing an ongoing promotional campaign for the OnePlus 12 has revealed that the device is scheduled to launch a day before the campaign concludes, setting the potential launch date for either January 23 or January 24. The brand has further confirmed its intention to unveil three products alongside the OnePlus 12. Among them, the OnePlus 12R is anticipated to be equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. Additionally, the release hints at the introduction of the OnePlus Buds 3 Pro TWS earbuds, suggesting a comprehensive lineup of innovative products to be announced during this upcoming event.
