OnePlus’ Industrial Designer, Lao Haoran, revealed last month that the company’s 2025 phones will feature a renewed design. While the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro, which debuted at the start of this year, sported a design similar to their previous generation, OnePlus is expected to launch the OnePlus 13 Mini and a couple of Ace-branded phones in the first half of this year with a new design. A recent leak from tipster Digital Chat Station not only reveals the specifications of the OnePlus 13 Mini but also provides a crucial detail about its rear camera design.
OnePlus 13 Mini key details leaked

According to DCS, the upcoming compact phone from OnePlus will feature a simple bar-shaped dual-camera design. While the tipster hasn’t explicitly named the device, it appears he is referring to the OnePlus 13 Mini.
The OnePlus 13 Mini will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. For context, Oppo is also reportedly working on the Find X8 Mini, which will be equipped with the Dimensity 9400 SoC. Coming back to the OnePlus device, the new leak states that its rear camera setup will comprise a 50-megapixel camera backed by a large sensor and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom.
The new leak contradicts previous leaks that claimed the 13 Mini would have a triple-camera setup. Apple is expected to adopt a horizontal camera bar design for the iPhone 17 series. It appears that OnePlus could be aiming to offer a similar design months before the September launch of the iPhone 17 series.
As per previous reports, the OnePlus 13 Mini will have a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution. The flat display, which will be flanked by ultra-thin bezels on all four sides, will support a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is said to be equipped with an optical-type in-screen fingerprint sensor. While the battery size remains a mystery, it is expected to support wireless charging. It is also expected to feature a metal middle frame and a glass back.
While the new leak has no information about the OnePlus 13 Mini’s launch timeframe, previous reports have claimed that it is scheduled to launch in the second quarter of this year. At present, there is no clarity on whether the device will be released globally.
