OnePlus is raising the bar for flagship smartphone endurance with the upcoming OnePlus 13, which is set to debut in China on Oct. 31. Li Jie, President of OnePlus China, has revealed that the OnePlus 13 will utilize a new generation of silicon-carbon anode battery technology, resulting in a smaller battery size while increasing overall capacity.
The company confirmed that the OnePlus 13 will pack a 6,000mAh battery. OnePlus claims this battery can support 11 hours of video calls, almost 20 hours of short video browsing, and over 7 hours of cycling navigation on a single charge. Even with just 1 percent battery remaining, the phone can reportedly provide 13 hours of standby time.
OnePlus also confirmed that the OnePlus 13 will support 100W SuperVOOC wired charging, capable of fully recharging the device in just 36 minutes. Additionally, it will offer 50W magnetic wireless charging, providing flexibility and convenience for users on the go. Li Jie suggests that the OnePlus 13 is one of the few phones to offer such a comprehensive combination of a large battery, fast wired charging, and wireless charging capabilities.
Beyond its impressive battery life, the OnePlus 13 is set to be a true flagship contender. The cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform will power it. OnePlus is also placing significant emphasis on the display. The 13 will feature a second-generation “Oriental Screen” from BOE, with a 2K resolution and significant upgrades in visual quality, brightness, eye comfort, and touch responsiveness. OnePlus claims this display is the world’s first and only to achieve a DisplayMate A++ rating, setting a new benchmark for smartphone screens.
The phone will also feature a Hasselblad-branded triple camera system, featuring a 50-megapixel LYT-808 primary camera with OIS support, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The device will ship with up to 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. With its focus on a superior battery experience, top-tier performance, and a stunning display, the above posts also confirmed that the device will come with other features, such as an alert slider, an IR blaster, multi-functional NFC, and a USB Gen 3.2 USB-C port.
